Anxiety & Depression

Feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed can make even simple daily tasks feel exhausting. You might notice racing thoughts, tension in your body, or a sense of being “stuck” in cycles of worry or sadness. These experiences are normal, and you don’t have to manage them alone.

 

Together, we’ll look at both your thoughts and your body — because anxiety and depression often show up in physical as well as emotional ways.

We can explore range of strategies to support your wellbeing, tailored to you and your needs, including:

  • Cognitive and practical strategies to help manage anxious or negative thought patterns​

  • Somatic work to release tension and connect with your body

  • Mindfulness and grounding techniques to stay present and calm

  • ​Behavioural approaches to gently experiment with new ways of coping in your day-to-day life

Sessions are collaborative — we’ll try out strategies and reflect on what works best for you. Over time, the tools you use will be shaped around your own strengths and experiences, helping you feel more in control and supported.

How I Work

In our work together, I like to keep things practical. When we find a strategy that could be helpful, we’ll try it out in your day-to-day life and then reflect on what worked and what could be improved. This way, the tools you use are truly yours—shaped around what supports you best.

In the first session, we’ll talk about what’s on your mind and what you’d like from counselling. There’s no pressure—you set the pace, and it’s completely normal for us both

to feel a little nervous when meeting someone new.

There’s no pre-session work, apart from signing the contract electronically, which I’ll send to you by email.

Before we start, I offer a free Discovery Chat. This is a short conversation so we can talk about your needs and see if working together feels like a good fit.

 

How to Book

I know starting therapy is a big step, both emotionally and financially, and I'm committed to working with you to keep it accessible.

SESSIONS

My sessions can be online or in my therapy room in Taunton.

 

50 min Sessions: £55, either weekly or fortnightly

60 mins Sessions: £60, either weekly or fortnightly

 

I don’t want finances to stop you from getting support and I offer a limited number of concession spaces, so do get in touch if this would help.
